\n\tIt\u2019s pretty clear Taylor Swift<\/a> feels at home in the director\u2019s chair. She\u2019s won awards for helming her own music videos and set a feature-length movie<\/a> with Fox Searchlight. Now, we\u2019re finding out what she\u2019s like on set.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a new, self-deprecating promo video for the exclusive edition of her The Life of a Showgirl<\/a> album coming out in Target<\/a> stores this week, we see Swift the director, bullhorn in hand, giving instructions to Swift the superstar, who\u2019s dressed in her pink, diamond-chested \u2018Showgirl\u2019 outfit and tossing glitter backed by an enormous pink vinyl, surrounded by buckets of pink paint. The promo specifically touts the Target-only edition of the album, The Life of a Showgirl: The Crowd is Your King Edition on Summertime Spritz Pink Shimmer Vinyl.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAlright we are still rolling. We\u2019re gonna try this again, okay? We\u2019re elegant, we\u2019re luxurious. We\u2019re in front of the most beautiful pink vinyl we\u2019ve ever seen,\u201d Director Swift says, trying to coach Showgirl Swift. \u201cWhat is going on with with the posture? It\u2019s giving \u2018no girl,\u2019 not \u2018showgirl.\u2019 What are we doing?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEven Swift\u2019s megaphone matches the glitzy blush pink, and there is a mint shimmery sheen on parts of the instrument. Viewers can see pink furniture in the back of what looks like a warehouse, and many Swifties are pointing out the Exit sign in the background, as this has become a theme in promo leading up to release.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs Showgirl Swift stumbles a bit in her high heels, Director Swift, clad in a black blazer and jeans, tells someone off camera, \u201cShe\u2019s got cat hair all over her.\u201d The trumpet-y tune of \u201cI Can Do It With A Broken Heart\u201d that cued her The Tortured Poets Department set on the Eras tour can be heard in the background as well.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIs there a school that we could very quickly send her to?\u201d Swift asks people off camera, and the caption of the video notes that Showgirl Swift has four days left to rehearse for her big moment.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe superstar\u2019s 12th studio album is out October 3.\u00a0Her Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl film opens in theaters the same day.<\/p>\n
