1.\u00a0Coney Island casino bid voted down by Community Advisory Committee<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

A proposal to build a casino in Coney Island was rejected by a Community Advisory Committee this afternoon, effectively ending the bid.<\/p>\n

The committee voted to deny allowing the bid to move forward in a 4-2 vote.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Bally’s Bronx casino proposal clears advisory committee vote<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

Bally\u2019s Corporation\u2019s casino proposal for the Bronx, meanwhile, cleared a major hurdle today, winning approval in a 5-1 vote by its Community Advisory Committee.<\/p>\n

The decision makes the Bally\u2019s bid one of three downstate casino proposals that have been approved by their advisory committees.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0MTA makes gains in subway performance using data<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

While the MTA measures on-time performance, or OTP, by whether a train arrives at the end of the line on time, the transit agency is now looking to make sure the trains arrive on time along the line.<\/p>\n

A special team at New York City Transit, the SPEED unit \u2014 which stands for Subway Performance, Evaluation, Education and Development \u2014 is crunching numbers to improve service<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0Trump, Netanyahu meet at White House as pressure mounts to end war in Gaza<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

Days after his defiant speech at the United Nations rejecting demands to end the war in Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is conferring with his most important supporter about the path ahead in the nearly two-year-old Gaza war.<\/p>\n

But today’s meeting with President Donald Trump in Washington comes at a tenuous moment. Israel is increasingly isolated, losing support from many countries that were long its steadfast allies. At home, Netanyahu’s governing coalition appears more fragile than ever. And the White House is showing signs of impatience.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0Ben Max on Adams’ decision to end his reelection bid<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

Mayor Eric Adams on Sunday officially ended his reelection campaign.<\/p>\n

Ben Max, the executive editor and program director of the Center for New York City Law at New York Law School, sat down with NY1’s Shannan Ferry to discuss Adams’ decision.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0Back to ‘The Office’: Workplace comedy the focus of new exhibit<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

The Paley Center for Media is featuring two new exhibitions. One is a tribute to workplace comedies “The Office” and “The Paper,” while the other features the sets from iconic shows like “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.”<\/p>\n
