{"id":265131,"date":"2025-09-30T00:20:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-30T00:20:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/265131\/"},"modified":"2025-09-30T00:20:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-30T00:20:11","slug":"rba-nikkei-225-kospi-csi-300","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/265131\/","title":{"rendered":"RBA, Nikkei 225, Kospi, CSI 300"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Waterfront city skyline of Sydney city downtown at night with bright illumination of modern architectural landmarks in Sydney, Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Prasit Photo | Moment | Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Asia-Pacific markets traded mixed Tuesday with focus on the Reserve Bank of Australia&#8217;s interest rate decision later in the day.<\/p>\n<p>The RBA is expected to hold its cash rate steady at 3.6%, according to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/asia-pacific\/rba-hold-rates-september-30-cut-likely-after-q3-inflation-2025-09-26\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reuters poll<\/a>, as high inflation has restricted its ability to loosen monetary policy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Reserve Bank of Australia&#8217;s policy meeting on Tuesday is the key event in the Asia-Pacific region,&#8221; said Shier Lee Lim, lead FX and macro strategist of APAC in Convera.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Any shift in tone or forward guidance could move AUD crosses, especially after recent volatility in building approvals, with August expected to show a 2.8% rise following July&#8217;s 8.2% drop,&#8221; she added.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.AXJO\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S&amp;P\/ASX 200<\/a> rose 0.1%. Japan&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.N225\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nikkei 225<\/a> slipped 0.17%, while the Topix lost 0.21%. South Korea&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.KS11\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kospi<\/a> added 0.27%, while the Kosdaq advanced 0.18%.<\/p>\n<p>Hong Kong&#8217;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.HSI\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">s Hang Seng index<\/a> futures were at 26,735, higher than the HSI&#8217;s last close of 26,622.88.<\/p>\n<p>Overnight stateside, the three major averages closed higher. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.SPX\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S&amp;P 500<\/a>\u00a0rose as Wall Street regained some of its footing after a week in which the artificial intelligence trade lost a bit of steam.<\/p>\n<p>The broad market index climbed 0.26% to finish at 6,661.21, and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.IXIC\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nasdaq Composite<\/a>\u00a0advanced 0.48% to close at 22,591.15.
