JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 A Jacksonville restaurant owner changed how she runs her business after a man was shot inside early Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

A man on a bicycle rode up to Que Padre Mexican Restaurant around 1 a.m., then shot through a window, hitting a customer inside before riding off, the owner, Nely Osorio, said.<\/p>\n

The customer was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

In footage given to News4JAX, workers can be seen running frantically into the kitchen after the shot was fired.<\/p>\n

Moments later, in the same video, the customer who was shot could be seen raising his shirt and exposing blood.<\/p>\n

In another video shared with News4JAX, police are seen tending to the man\u2019s gunshot wound on his back.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh my goodness, I can\u2019t believe it,\u201d Osorio said. \u201cReally I can\u2019t believe it. How can [you] do that?\u201d<\/p>\n

The owner said that was her initial reaction after receiving a call from her employee telling her what happened.<\/p>\n

She said the incident left her scared and concerned, especially for her employees\u2019 safety.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s never happened before, I\u2019m really concerned; I\u2019m really scared,\u201d Osorio said.<\/p>\n

The owner said she planned to close the restaurant earlier to protect her workers.<\/p>\n

Osorio also questioned why someone would shoot into her restaurant.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s going on with our country? Nobody cares about other people or each other\u2019s life. This is a really hard time for me,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

She said she planned to visit the customer who was shot to check on his condition.<\/p>\n

News4JAX reached out to JSO for additional details about the shooter. A spokesperson said the details they\u2019ve shared are the most up-to-date.<\/p>\n
