As usual, the lineup will consist of three models, but with some notable changes. There’s no Plus model, with the ultra-slim S26 Edge replacing it, while the base model is now called the S26 Pro. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will headline the series. Ahead of the official launch, a fresh leak confirms the camera setup for the entire lineup.

Our Galaxy S26 Mystery Box program is now live. Sign up today to score a free gift box containing a case, screen protector, cleaning kit, phone stand, a 65W charger, and more freebies, including some bigger random prizes.

Leak reveals the camera setup for the Galaxy S26 series

Starting with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, it features a 200MP primary shooter. It is expected to be the same ISOCELL HP2 sensor found in previous models, but with a wider f/1.4 aperture. The 50MP 5x zoom camera and 50MP ultrawide camera carry over unchanged from the S25 Ultra. The 10MP 3x zoom unit, meanwhile, may employ a new sensor, though it may not necessarily be an upgrade.

Rumors are that the next Ultra is switching to the 3x zoom camera found in the Galaxy S25 and S25+. It’s a slightly smaller sensor compared to the S25 Ultra’s 3x unit. Samsung may be making this move for a slimmer design for the S26 Ultra. The upcoming Ultra may also get a new selfie shooter, though it’s still a 12MP unit.

The same 12MP selfie camera and 10MP 3x zoom lens may also appear on the Galaxy S26 Pro. Those are accompanied by a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide lens, an unchanged setup from the Galaxy S25. The S26 Edge, meanwhile, may get the Ultra’s 200MP primary shooter and 50MP ultrawide lens. It lacks a zoom camera, while the selfie shooter may be identical to the rest of the lineup.

Long story short, the Galaxy S26 series keeps the camera hardware largely unchanged. Samsung is betting big on software enhancements, powered by advanced AI capabilities and post-processing. It remains to be seen whether the new flagships deliver notable upgrades in image quality compared to the 2025 lineup.

Samsung is gearing up for its next big flagship release, the Galaxy S26 series, in early 2026.
