Following an alarming update from Jason Momoa<\/strong><\/a> on the future of the Fast & Furious franchise, Vin Diesel<\/strong><\/a> has just given F&F fans a reason to be excited again. Diesel took to his personal Instagram to seemingly confirm that the eleventh and final Fast & Furious<\/a> movie, tentatively titled Fast X: Part Two<\/strong><\/a>, has begun filming<\/strong>. He shared a photo of himself and his long-time co-star and on-screen wife Michelle Rodriguez<\/strong><\/a>, captioned \u201cJust wrapped an incredible day of filming with my ride-or-die about the future of Fast\u2026\u201d Diesel followed this with a lengthy monologue about his over 20-year history with the franchise.<\/p>\n

Just a few weeks ago, Jason Momoa<\/strong><\/a> admitted that he was excited to play Dante Reyes again in the final Fast & Furious movie, but that he hadn\u2019t seen a script and had no update to share. This is becoming more commonplace now, and it\u2019s entirely possible that Momoa will receive a call to begin filming before he ever even reads a script. It\u2019s also impossible to rule out that the script for Fast X: Part 2 isn\u2019t even finished yet. Fast X<\/strong><\/a>, which also stars Reacher<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s Alan Ritchson<\/strong><\/a>, was shot partially without a director<\/a>, so it wouldn\u2019t be surprising to see the franchise continue this trend of improvisation.<\/p>\n

Plot details about Fast X: Part 2 are being kept under wraps, but it is expected to feature two franchise veterans who are guaranteed to sell tickets. After departing the franchise in recent years, both Jason Statham<\/strong><\/a> and Dwayne Johnson<\/strong><\/a> will reprise their respective roles as Deckard Shaw and Luke Hobbs in Fast & Furious 11. They previously teamed up for the franchise\u2019s first spin-off movie, Hobbs & Shaw<\/strong><\/a>, which also starred Idris Elba<\/strong><\/a> and Vanessa Kirby<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Could There Be More Fast & Furious Spin-Off Movies?<\/p>\n

After Hobbs & Shaw, it\u2019s entirely possible that the franchise could produce more offshoots. There\u2019s even been whispers of a sequel to Hobbs & Shaw that would return both Johnson and Statham, and while writer Chris Morgan <\/strong>has confirmed that he\u2019s working on a script<\/a>, it\u2019s unknown if that will ever translate to the big screen. Still, the Fast & Furious franchise has seen countless stars come and go over the years, each with the power to lead a project. Fans would certainly pay money to see stars like Charlize Theron<\/strong><\/a>, John Cena<\/strong><\/a>, Vanessa Kirby, and others lead a brand-new movie set in the F&F universe.<\/p>\n
