In that time, they have missed the playoffs four times and made it to Round 2 just once, in 2023 under Latricia Trammell.<\/p>\n<p>But after Dallas selected Bueckers with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, expectations for improvement began to rise. Bueckers was set to play alongside stars like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/wnba\/players\/o\/ogunbar01w.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.thenexthoops.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-09-30_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Arike Ogunbowale<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/wnba\/players\/c\/carridi01w.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.thenexthoops.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-09-30_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">DiJonai Carrington<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/wnba\/players\/s\/smithna01w.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.thenexthoops.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-09-30_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">NaLyssa Smith<\/a>. But with injuries, trades and struggles on the court, the team stumbled, winning less than a quarter of their games for the second consecutive season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Dallas Wings remain dedicated to their pursuit of WNBA Championships and building upon the strong culture established on and off the court,\u201d Miller said.
