Judge Derek Hough<\/a>\u2018s prediction that singer Lauren Jauregui<\/a> and her pro dance teacher Brandon Armstrong<\/a> would be sticking around the dance competition reality series turned out to be premature. In September 30\u2019s shocking elimination<\/a>, the Fifth Harmony<\/a> singer and her pro partner were voted off the show<\/a> in week 3 of Dancing With the Stars<\/a> Season 34.<\/p>\n

Jauregui told host Alfonso Ribeiro<\/a> on-air that said she was feeling \u201cpissed\u201d<\/a> over leaving the show. TV Insider chatted with her and Armstrong on the press line (right on the ballroom floor) after the show wrapped.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, they asked me how I was feeling in the moment, and that\u2019s how I was feeling in the moment,\u201d Jauregui simply told TV Insider about saying that she was \u201cpissed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m feeling just emotional about the whole thing,\u201d she elaborated. \u201cI feel like I had a lot left to give the show, and I just wish that I would have had the opportunity to do that especially because I was working with Brandon. We were going to keep progressing. That was our strategy. It\u2019s sad not to be able to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jauregui told us last week that she\u2019d hoped to be the one to take Armstrong to his first Len Goodman<\/a> Mirrorball victory. \u201cOf course, I wanted to give him that,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, not great,\u201d lamented Armstrong when asked how he was doing. \u201cLook, I\u2019ve been around this for a long time. I would hope that people still celebrate the dancing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last week, the couple received positive remarks from the judges in what\u2019s turning out to be one of the program\u2019s most competitive seasons ever.<\/p>\n

Carrie Ann Inaba<\/a> called the duo\u2019s foxtrot \u201cmesmerizing,\u201d and she complimented the pair\u2019s partnership, noting that it put people at ease. Hough compared Jauregui to a willow tree dancing in a gentle breeze. \u201cIt\u2019s just so effortless, soft, and beautiful,\u201d the judge added. \u201cYou are an amazing dancer, and I cannot wait to see what you do for the rest of this competition. [You\u2019re] ethereal.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s beautiful to get great feedback from the judges,\u201d Jauregui shared. \u201cThey\u2019re such incredible performers. Whether it\u2019s good or bad, I am absorbing and taking it in. I love willow trees, too, so that was so sweet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Armstrong was encouraged by the judge\u2019s comments from last week, too. \u201cHonestly, for me, it\u2019s like if you\u2019re going to work all week to be true to a style, you want them to comment on that,\u201d Armstrong said. \u201cIt\u2019s rewarding and validating.\u201d<\/p>\n

Just as Jauregui wanted to bring Armstrong to the finale, he had hoped his star partner would have a longer experience on the dance competition reality series. \u201cI wanted [Lauren] to experience what the show has to offer,\u201d he laments.<\/p>\n

Traditionally, all the ejected couples come back to the dance floor one last time for the season finale. Count on Jauregui to accept that invitation when it\u2019s extended. She says that she\u2019d love to return to the ballroom to dance again and to show everyone \u201cwhat they missed out on.\u201d<\/p>\n
