The\u00a0META\u00a0<\/strong>Quest 3S Xbox Edition<\/strong> is a virtual reality headset that comes with a pair of Meta Quest Touch Plus controllers, a limited edition Xbox Wireless Controller, and and a 3-month subscription to Microsoft\u2019s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Unlike the normal version of the Meta Quest 3S, which has a white body, the Xbox Edition also matches the Xbox aesthetic with a \u201cCarbon Black\u201d and \u201cVelocity Green\u201d color scheme. The Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition is available now for $400<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For the most part the new Xbox-branded headset is the same device as the model that Meta first launched in September, 2025<\/a>, which you can currently buy for $300 and up<\/a>. But Microsoft worked with Meta on more than just a custom color scheme.<\/p>\n

The Xbox controller included in the box is already paired with the headset, the Xbox app for Quest is pre-installed, and The Verge notes<\/a> that when you turn on the headset it\u2019ll take you straight to the Xbox app.<\/p>\n

That said, if you\u2019ve already got a Meta Quest 3 there\u2019s no reason to trade in your hardware for a new Xbox-branded model unless you\u00a0really like green and black. You\u2019ve been able to install the Xbox app on Quest devices for the past few years, and you can use it to stream games from Microsoft\u2019s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service.<\/p>\n
