PHOENIX \u2014 A suspect was arrested on Monday in connection with a north Phoenix collision that left a man dead in 2023, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Bella Bonanno, 21, faces multiple charges<\/a> in relation to the fatal crash including manslaughter, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and three counts of endangerment.<\/p>\n

According to the Phoenix Police Department, the investigation into the collision concluded that speed was a factor in the crash.<\/p>\n

Details on 2023 fatal north Phoenix collision<\/p>\n

On Sept. 9, police responded to the area of Tatum and Shea boulevards<\/a> around 2 a.m. for a two-car collision.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived on scene, both vehicles were still on scene and they found 28-year-old Alec Carbine suffering from critical injuries.\u00a0 He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.<\/p>\n

Police said the driver of the vehicle had minor injuries.<\/p>\n

According to Phoenix police, the second vehicle was driven by Bonanno and had three passengers. One of the passengers had non-life-threatening injuries and the other two had only minor injuries.<\/p>\n

Preliminary information suggested that the car driven by Bonanno failed to stop for a red light and struck the vehicle Carbine was a passenger in, police said.<\/p>\n

Bonanno reportedly showed no signs of impairment.<\/p>\n
