The Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix, one of downtown\u2019s higher-end hospitality properties, is preparing to undergo a multimillion-dollar renovation of its guest rooms.<\/p>\n
The refresh will impact all 242 rooms, including the 27 suites. The Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix is part of IHG Hotels & Resorts\u2019 luxury and lifestyle portfolio.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur focus with these renovations is to create an enhanced guest experience by combining timeless luxury and modern comfort along with some unexpected surprises,\u201d Justin Simpson, the hotel\u2019s general manager, said in a statement. \u201cThis transformation goes beyond just upgrading the hotel rooms by reflecting the exciting energy of the property and providing guests an expansion of the urban retreat experience they\u2019ve come to expect and love at Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix.\u201d<\/p>\n
The renovations come as several hotels are currently being built across the Valley, including in downtown Phoenix. In the fall of 2026, a new luxury hotel \u2013\u00a0the $140 million Den\u016b\u00a0\u2013 is expected to open in downtown Phoenix on the southeast corner of Central Avenue and Adams Street. With new competition coming online, several other hotels and resorts throughout metro Phoenix have recently completed renovations,\u00a0including the Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas\u00a0and the\u00a0JW Marriott Desert Ridge.<\/p>\n
