Vogue Italia\u2019s Fashion News & Wedding Editor Laura Tortora shared that the 61-year-old Amazon founder \u201cbegged\u201d to get a look at S\u00e1nchez\u2019s dress before their wedding, as per a People report.<\/p>\n

Tortora said, \u201cThis happened after the fitting at Dolce & Gabbana, so her last fitting, and our insiders saw her immediately after, and she was really, really excited.”<\/p>\n
\u201cShe herself said, \u2018It was stronger than I imagined,\u2019 and she told us that Jeff wanted to see this dress.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite his excitement, S\u00e1nchez held firm. \u201cBezos begged to see the dress. But inside herself she resisted because she wanted to give him this surprise at all costs and so she managed it,\u201d Tortora said.<\/p>\n
Tortora also revealed that during the couple\u2019s Vogue photo shoot, Bezos was kept away from the view. \u201cBezos was kept in a room that didn\u2019t face the lawn where she was being photographed, so even in that context, attention was paid to this so she could maintain the secret with her future husband,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
The couple tied the knot on Friday, June 27, on San Giorgio Maggiore island in Venice, Italy. Many famous guests attended the event.<\/p>\n

S\u00e1nchez wore a mermaid-style gown with a corset, made specially by Dolce & Gabbana. The dress included hand-sewn Italian lace and 180 silk chiffon-covered buttons, according to Vogue. She completed the look with borrowed earrings from Dolce Alta Gioielleria Miracolo, and something blue \u2014 a token from her Blue Origin<\/a> space flight.<\/p>\n On Instagram, S\u00e1nchez shared some wedding day moments with the caption, \u201cNot just a gown, a piece of poetry. Thank you @dolcegabbana for the magic you made.\u201d<\/p>\n She also spoke to Vogue about the final dress fitting. \u201cIt was more powerful than I thought,\u201d she said. She mentioned she \u201calmost gave in\u201d when Bezos asked to see it early.<\/p>\n S\u00e1nchez said, \u201cBut I want it to be a surprise. As you get a little older, not many things surprise you. I can\u2019t wait to see his face.”<\/p>\n
