Whether you’re interested in reducing textbook costs for students, customizing course materials, or publishing your own open scholarship, this workshop will introduce you to flexible pathways for using OER in your courses. We\u2019ll discuss how to start small with adoption and adaptation, as well as opportunities for full-scale OER creation. Participants will also learn about UTA\u2019s robust support network\u2014including the UTA Libraries\u2019 OER publishing tools and faculty grant programs\u2014to help bring their ideas to life.<\/p>\n

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to: Define Open Educational Resources and explain their impact on teaching, learning, and access. Identify ways to adopt, adapt, or create OER in alignment with their teaching goals. Discover UTA-specific resources, including OER publishing support and faculty grant opportunities through the Libraries\u2019 OER Grants Program (libguides.uta.edu\/OERgrants).
