\n\tElon Musk<\/a> continued his swipes at Netflix<\/a> today over the 2022-2023 animated series Dead End: Paranormal Park<\/a> which featured a transgender character. Days after calling for his X followers to cancel the streaming service, he\u2019s reposting followers\u2019 comments lambasting \u201ctransgender propaganda.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tYesterday, Hamish Steele<\/a>, the creator of Dead End: Paranormal Park, informed his followers on BlueSky that he would be taking a social media break due to \u201cextremely nasty weird homophobic and antisemitic emails\u201d he was receiving. \u201cI will just say today is much much worse and I am going to basically be on the down low for the foreseeable,\u201d he wrote. \u201cMy apologies.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAlthough the series was canceled in 2023, it remains on the service. In one of the cartoon\u2019s episodes, the character Barney Guttman says he is transgender. A clip of that moment has made the social media rounds in recent days. Musk too latched on to the anti-Netflix trend, writing on X, \u201cThis is not ok\u201d and \u201cCancel Netflix for the health of your kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNetflix has not commented on the matter.<\/p>\n

\n\tCreator Steele at first seemed to take the backlash in stride, posting on Tuesday, \u201cIt\u2019s probably going to be a very odd day.\u201d Regarding an X post shared by Musk that accused Netflix of promoting the long-canceled series, Steele responded lightheartedly, \u201cIt\u2019s all lies and slander! Netflix is NOT promoting at the moment!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLater that day, Steele posted, \u201cI have mostly been very ok today and found it all quite funny, while really appreciating everyone who has reached out, but the extremely nasty weird homophobic and antisemitic emails have started rolling in and it is getting a little scary so I apologize if I take longer to respond to stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStill later, he wrote that he was receiving Instagram comments accusing him of celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk (\u201cWhich I never did,\u201d he wrote), and, finally, he posted the message about the day being \u201cmuch much worse\u201d and taking a social media break.<\/p>\n

\n\tAmong the X tweets that Musk reposted today was one that said, \u201cTransgender propaganda isn\u2019t just quietly lurking in the background on Netflix. They are actively pushing it on users.\u201d Musk commented, \u201cTrue.\u201d<\/p>\n
