CLEVELAND, Texas<\/strong> \u2013 The oil well fire that prompted a shelter-in-place order in Cleveland earlier Thursday is now under control, and city officials say residents can safely resume normal activities. <\/p>\n

Fire crews remain on scene monitoring the site.<\/p>\n

The Cleveland Fire Department shared the intense video<\/a> of flames shooting out of the oil well. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear how it all unfolded, but firefighters say it was on Peach Avenue and Nevelle Street, at a stop sign next to the police station. <\/p>\n

No additional information has been shared, as of this writing, but KPRC 2 is working to learn more and will make updates to this story as it develops. <\/p>\n
