For example, a recent leak revealed Samsung could give app icons a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidauthority.com\/samsung-one-ui-8-5-3d-app-icons-update-3603367\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3D appearance<\/a>. Another leak suggests the brand is working on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidauthority.com\/samsung-family-groups-one-ui-8-5-3603352\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">family group functionality<\/a>. When sharing an image, this feature can automatically detect sensitive information in that image and blur or redact it. In the screenshots below, you can see an example of how it works.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"e_ih\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  title=\"Samsung One UI 8.5 Privacy Protection\"  alt=\"Samsung One UI 8.5 Privacy Protection\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Samsung-One-UI-8.5-Privacy-Protection.jpg\"\/><img class=\"e_ih\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  title=\"Samsung One UI 8.5 Privacy Protection 2\"  alt=\"Samsung One UI 8.5 Privacy Protection 2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Samsung-One-UI-8.5-Privacy-Protection-2.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>In this example, the user is sharing an image that contains a driver\u2019s license. That person can choose to hide whatever information they don\u2019t want the other person to see. And it appears you\u2019ll have multiple ways to hide that information, whether you want to pixelate it, blur it, or redact it. You\u2019ll even be able to compare the edited and unedited versions before sending the image off.<\/p>\n<p>It looks like this feature can be accessed by going to the More section in the sharing menu. When you tap on this option, it will get to work detecting private information. Presumably, the feature is using on-device AI to perform this feat, like Gemini Nano.<\/p>\n<p>In related privacy news, there\u2019s been more confirmation that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a Private Display feature. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidauthority.com\/galaxy-s26-ultra-privacy-display-leak-3603402\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leaks<\/a> have suggested that this feature will block strangers from taking peeks at your screen.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for being part of our community.
