Celebrate the most fearful time of the year at Scream Fest. The annual, <strong>carnival-like festival<\/strong> comes back to life this October as the city\u2019s only <strong>haunted-themed amusement park<\/strong> where all the freaks and ghouls can dare <strong>multiple <a href=\"https:\/\/secrethouston.com\/haunted-houses-houston\/\" rel=\"follow noopener\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secrethouston.com\/haunted-houses-houston\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_1\" data-category=\"click_internal\"><strong>haunted houses<\/strong>,<\/a><\/strong> paintball, midway games, among libations, free concerts, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Running on select dates (mostly Fridays and Saturdays) from <strong>October 3 to November 8<\/strong>, Scream Fest bills itself as \u201c<strong>the largest and best haunted amusement park in Texas<\/strong>\u201c. The annual festival <strong>possesses a carnival-like atmosphere<\/strong>, complete with a midway, carnival games, and on-site food vendors at its food court.<\/p>\n<p>This year, Scream Fest will be hosting<strong> four haunted house<\/strong> experiences: Sanitarium, Castle of Doom, Casa De La Llorona, and The Graveyard. The venue also features a <strong>Call of Duty Blackops-inspired H-Town Paintball experience<\/strong>, Nuketown, that which is free with price of admission, those participants wil<strong>l need to purchase the paint<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p> <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-28003\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/FotoJet-2025-10-02T155330.503-1024x684.jpg\" alt=\"Image shows a group of people playing paintball at Scream Fest in Houston.\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\"  \/>Photo via Scream Fest <\/p>\n<p>When operational, the festival also features <strong>nightly live music<\/strong> by local Texas bands, most of which lean into a darkly appropriate sound \u2014 including <strong>Rob Zombie-tribute band<\/strong> American Witch. Concerts start at 8 pm nightly.<\/p>\n<p>One of the biggest draw of the festival is that<strong> all drinks are free<\/strong> with price of admission. This includes adult beverages comprising of <strong>Michelob Ultra and Bud Light<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets to Scream Fest are<strong> start at $30 for regular admission<\/strong> on opening weekend, October 3rd and October 4th, with <strong>student admission priced at $15<\/strong>. Ticket <strong>prices will go up through the season<\/strong>, topping out at $50 for general admission, $30 for students the weekends of October 24th and 25th, and October 31st and November 1st. Scream Fest runs on weekends from <strong>October 3 to November 8<\/strong>. The festival is located at <strong>1500 Elton St.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Be apprised, customers have <strong>complained about long wait times<\/strong> \u2014 particularly for the free booze, shocker \u2014 so prepare for that accordingly.
