Sexual assault\u00a0support lines:<\/p>\n
Alberto Nicoletti, who is already in jail for sexually assaulting two other women, was given a three-year sentence in the District Court on Friday, to be served on top of his other sentences.<\/p>\n
Judge Gary Massey said the 33-year-old was not remorseful and had shown “a complete lack of regard” for his victims.<\/p>\n
Nicoletti raped the woman when she was passed out in her home in 2020.<\/p>\n
Rapist complimented victim<\/p>\n
The court heard the victim, who was in her early 20s, had been drinking at a South Perth hotel, and tried walking to a car park to order an Uber.<\/p>\n
But she was “as drunk as I had ever been”, she told the court, and stumbled as she walked.<\/p>\n
Nicoletti, who had finished work at his Lago Di Como restaurant for the evening, helped her up and complimented her.<\/p>\n
He offered to drive her home and followed her inside after they arrived.<\/p>\n

The woman said she woke up to find Nicoletti having sex with her.<\/p>\n
She started crying and told him to get off and leave.<\/p>\n
‘Stress, trauma, fear’<\/p>\n
In a statement read out by the prosecutor in court, the woman said she suffered ongoing “stress, trauma and fear”, causing flashbacks and nightmares.<\/p>\n
“I dream of the life I had before Alberto Nicoletti made the decision to rape me,” she said in the statement.<\/p>\n

It was Nicoletti’s third conviction, having been sentenced in 2024 to five years and six months for convictions for digital penetration.<\/p>\n
One of those crimes occurred in his restaurant car park in 2016, while the other was at a Northbridge bar in 2020.<\/p>\n
The three years imposed by Judge Massey means Nicoletti’s total sentence is eight years and six months.<\/p>\n
He will be eligible for parole in February 2028.<\/p>\n
