EATS has never just been about the food. It has always been about you. Y\u2019all gave this place its heartbeat. The conversations, the laughter, the regulars who became family, the generations who grew up walking through our doors,\u201d the owners wrote in a statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\"><b>Channel 2\u2019s Tom Jones<\/b> stopped by the restaurant on Friday and spoke with customers who are disappointed that the restaurant\u2019s days are coming to an end.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">\u201cThe food is amazing here. I\u2019m so mad that they\u2019re closing,\u201d said one customer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s just part of the institution of what Atlanta was, and it\u2019s changing so fast,\u201d longtime customer Lisa Meyers said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\"><b>TRENDING STORIES:<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Earlier this week, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsbtv.com\/news\/local\/atlanta\/vandals-didnt-take-anything-after-smashing-windows-several-midtown-atlanta-businesses\/65SOC63ASRF2NPIZ2QOCANVTTU\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wsbtv.com\/news\/local\/atlanta\/vandals-didnt-take-anything-after-smashing-windows-several-midtown-atlanta-businesses\/65SOC63ASRF2NPIZ2QOCANVTTU\/\">the restaurant and several other businesses in the area were vandalized.<\/a> Atlanta police have made an arrest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">EATS did not say if it\u2019s closing because of the damage or for other reasons.
