The sightings were recorded between 9:48 a.m. and 2:32 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ml-4 list-disc\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlanticwhiteshark.org\/sharktivity-app\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:On Sept. 27,;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">On Sept. 27,<\/a> the six sightings happened between the hours of 9:17 a.m. and 2:09 p.m. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlanticwhiteshark.org\/sharktivity-app\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:At 9:17 a.m. a white shark;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">At 9:17 a.m. a white shark<\/a> was spotted only 20 feet offshore at North Beach Island, Chatham. At 1:09 p.m. the same day, a great white was sighted 50 yards off North Beach Island. At 1:34 p.m. one of the great whites was seen 500 yards off the south cut of Chatham Harbor.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ml-4 list-disc\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlanticwhiteshark.org\/sharktivity-app\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:The 11 sightings;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">The 11 sightings<\/a> on Sept. 26 were all in the same vicinity as the previous ones, between Monomoy Island and the &#8220;elbow&#8221; of Cape Cod. Those included a white shark spotted off Sandy Neck Beach in West Barnstable; one in Orleans and one near Lecount Hollow Beach in Welfleet.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Is it &#8216;peak&#8217; shark season?<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">State shark biologist John Chisholm stated on social media earlier this week that, &#8220;It&#8217;s peak white shark season so stay vigilant if you&#8217;re going in the water,&#8221; according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/news\/peak-shark-season-cape-cod-massachusetts\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:CBS News report.;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">CBS News report.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/news\/peak-shark-season-cape-cod-massachusetts\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:The report continued,;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">The report continued,<\/a> &#8220;A buoy off North Beach Island in Chatham detected multiple sharks this weekend, including the named sharks C-Horse, Mueller, Saucer, Kylie and Commodore. The biggest of the bunch is the 11-foot Mueller, a male shark that was detected Saturday afternoon.
