Chicago police were investigating a road rage incident in which a 26-year-old man was beaten to death by a suspect wielding a bat, authorities said Friday.<\/p>\n
The incident was reported at approximately 3:44 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Wells Street near West Garfield Boulevard in the Fuller Park neighborhood. According to police, an unknown male suspect produced a bat and struck a 26-year-old man multiple times during a road rage incident. The suspect then fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV.<\/p>\n
The victim was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office hadn’t identified the victim as of Friday evening.<\/p>\n
