{"id":276045,"date":"2025-10-04T02:16:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-04T02:16:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/276045\/"},"modified":"2025-10-04T02:16:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-04T02:16:12","slug":"aaron-boone-blasts-blue-jays-analysts-yankees-criticism-hes-wrong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/276045\/","title":{"rendered":"Aaron Boone blasts Blue Jays analyst&#8217;s Yankees criticism: \u2018He&#8217;s wrong\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TORONTO \u2014 Aaron Boone is keeping receipts.<\/p>\n<p>The Yankees manager was in the midst of talking <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/10\/03\/sports\/scouting-the-blue-jays-toronto-stars-trying-to-take-down-yankees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">about his club\u2019s improved infield defense<\/a> and how well it has played over the last couple of months on Friday when he added some spice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cContrary to some thoughts up here, we\u2019re a really good team,\u201d Boone said at Rogers Centre ahead of an ALDS showdown with the Blue Jays.<\/p>\n<p>But it was not just Blue Jays fans that Boone was referring to. He clearly had someone or something on his mind.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know Buck [Martinez] had some thoughts,\u201d Boone said, referring to the Blue Jays television analyst and longtime big league catcher, who dared to say that the Yankees were \u201cnot a good team\u201d in early September.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t care what their record is,\u201d Martinez said during a broadcast. \u201cThey have a lot of wild pitches, they make a lot of mistakes in the field, they don\u2019t run the bases very well. JASON SZENES\/ NY POST<\/p>\n<p>A few weeks later, Boone got his retort.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s wrong,\u201d Boone said. \u201cBut it doesn\u2019t matter. JASON SZENES\/ NY POST<\/p>\n<p>And it does not sound like the Blue Jays manager plans on <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/10\/03\/sports\/aaron-boones-message-to-badass-yankees-as-they-head-to-alds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">altering that strategy all too much<\/a> now that it is the postseason.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know I\u2019ve gotten plenty of boos in New York and even some boos here if you walk him,\u201d Schneider said. \u201cI get it as a fan of the game.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think you look at their lineup as a whole, you look at certain spots where he\u2019s coming up. You\u2019re definitely aware of where he is at all times and respect the hell out of the season that he had. I don\u2019t think anything really changes with the way we\u2019ll go about him or anyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>During this regular season, the Blue Jays walked Judge 15 times \u2014 seven of them intentionally \u2014 across 56 plate appearances.
