But it has everything to do with her destroying a door on Oct. 17, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The day marked Game 4 of the 2021 WNBA Finals, the most recent finals trip for the Phoenix Mercury <a href=\"https:\/\/arizonasports.com\/wnba\/phoenix-mercury\/wnba-finals\/3597964\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">until this year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Chicago Sky won the then-best-of-five series handily 3-1 over the Mercury, and Taurasi <a href=\"https:\/\/arizonasports.com\/haboob-blog\/chicago-sky-invite-door-that-diana-taurasi-broke-to-wnba-finals-celebration-parade\/2857561\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">unleashed her fury on a locker room door<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Sky even brought the unfortunate door frame to their championship parade in Chicago, not letting the two-time WNBA Finals MVP forget the bout of rage.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s what inspired the <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SarahSpain\/status\/1972796977646813577\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">bench\u2019s inscription<\/a> and the otherwise remote, meaningless location at Whitefish Dunes State Park.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor D.
