Castell Ave. in New Braunfels, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/faustbrewingcompany\/posts\/dear-friends-and-valued-patronsit-is-with-deep-regret-that-we-announce-the-closi\/1418959972914194\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor 16 wonderful years, we have had the privilege of serving our community, sharing laughter, celebrations, and creating unforgettable memories,\u201d the post states.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/san-antonio\/new-braunfels\/business\/2025\/09\/30\/local-new-braunfels-brewery-to-close-this-fall-after-16-years\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read the full story by Reporter Andrew Creelman.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/san-antonio\/new-braunfels\/government\/2025\/10\/01\/tceq-to-hold-public-hearing-for-proposed-wastewater-permit-in-new-braunfels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>TCEQ to hold public hearing for proposed wastewater permit in New Braunfels<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tceq.texas.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Texas Commission on Environmental Quality<\/a>, or TCEQ, is holding a public meeting Oct. 2 for a proposed permit that requests the authorization to dispose of 460,000 gallons of treated domestic wastewater on 117 acres of public access land to serve a new residential development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Two-minute impact<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This permit\u2014proposed by <a href=\"https:\/\/chesmar.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chesmar Homes<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gbra.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority<\/a>\u2014would be for a wastewater treatment facility and disposal site located 3.5 miles west of the FM 2722 and Hwy. 46 intersection in New Braunfels, according to a news release from the <a href=\"https:\/\/aquiferalliance.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance<\/a>, or GEAA.<\/p>\n<p>GEAA is a nonprofit organization that works to promote broad-based advocacy protections and preservations of the Edwards Aquifer.
