We all believe the same. Just love everybody and be kind.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Peggy Schiller and Pat Bauer were at the festival giving \u201cFree Mom Hugs\u201d to anyone who wanted one.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cOne woman cried because she wished her mom would have been like me,\u201d Schiller said. And that made me cry myself.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">As she was telling that story, someone walked up to Schiller and asked for a hug.<\/p>\n<p>Peggy Schiller giving out &#8220;Free Mom Hugs&#8221; at the Jax River City Pride Festival. (Copyright 2025 by WJXT News4JAX &#8211; All rights reserved.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cI feel loved and accepted in a community where we all should be accepted, loved by everyone,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Peggy Schiller\u2019s husband, Scott Schiller, said everyone needs hugs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cJust take care of one another and be you,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The parade is a 1.5 mile celebration through Jacksonville\u2019s Historic Avondale, Riverside, and 5 Points neighborhoods.
