PHOENIX \u2014 Police are investigating after a man was found dead, lying in a roadway in west Phoenix in the early hours of Saturday morning, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Bryan Desjone Richmond, 27, was identified as the deceased male, according to the Phoenix Police Department.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to the area of 37th Drive and McDowell Road<\/a> for reports of an injured person around 2:26 a.m.<\/p>\n

Police said that when officers arrived on scene, they found Richmond north of the intersection and suffering from at least one gun shot wound.<\/p>\n

The Phoenix Fire Department pronounced Richmond dead on scene.<\/p>\n

Detectives reportedly processed the scene and canvassed the area for any potential evidence.<\/p>\n

The investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
