Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. CT, and fans can follow the action live via <a href=\"https:\/\/tv.apple.com\/us\/sporting-event\/tacoma-defiance-vs-houston-dynamo-2\/umc.cse.1efx4em6lugrtq3v5md2bv4k9?ctx_brand=tvs.sbd.7000\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MLS Season Pass on Apple TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Houston currently sits two spots below the playoff line but can still secure their place in the <strong>2025<\/strong> <strong>MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs<\/strong> this Sunday. The scenario listed below outlines how Dynamo Dos can reach the postseason:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HOU win + NTX loss + ATX 2 or fewer pts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Information regarding the 2025 MLSNP Playoffs schedule will be confirmed following the results from Decision Day.<\/p>\n<p>The team has already qualified for the postseason in three consecutive seasons and will be aiming for a fourth straight appearance under this year\u2019s new Dynamo 2 head coach, <strong>Marcelo<\/strong> <strong>Santos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Last season, Dynamo Dos clinched their spot in the playoffs on Decision Day, earning a 3-1 home victory versus Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2, powered by goals from midfielder <strong>Diego<\/strong> <strong>Gonzalez<\/strong>, first-team forward <strong>Gabe<\/strong> <strong>Segal<\/strong> and former Dynamo 2 player Isaiah Reid. In the opening round of the playoffs, the team faced third-seeded The Town FC, narrowly falling 2-1 in a closely contested match.<\/p>\n<p>This year, Dynamo 2 currently sit 10th in the Western Conference with 37 points and a 9-12-6 (WLD) record.<\/p>\n<p>Houston is coming off a 3-1 home victory over Portland Timbers2 on Sept. 21, behind goals from defenders <strong>Juan<\/strong> <strong>Viveros<\/strong> and <strong>Omar<\/strong> <strong>Flores<\/strong>, and midfielder <strong>Mattheo<\/strong> <strong>Dimareli<\/strong>. Goalkeeper and 2025 Goalie Wars winner <strong>Pedro<\/strong> <strong>Cruz<\/strong> finished the night with three saves, and notably, he currently sits third in the league with 96 saves.<\/p>\n<p>Three Academy players that play on Dynamo 2 will report to training camp with the U.S. Youth National Team next week. Defender <strong>Micah<\/strong> <strong>Harris<\/strong> was called up to join the U-17 Men\u2019s National Team for their final training camp ahead of the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup in November, while defender <strong>Daniel<\/strong> <strong>Barrett<\/strong> and Dimareli join a different U-17 squad for training camp in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>Tacoma has won one and lost one since first facing Dynamo 2 this season on Sept. 17. Most recently, the team is coming off a 1-0 victory, with Charlie Gaffney scoring the game\u2019s lone goal. Tacoma is currently eliminated for the playoffs, sitting 12th in the Western Conference with 33 points and a 9-14-4 (WLD) record.
