The department blames the ordinance for why it deployed the National Guard and U.S. Marines.<\/p>\n<p><b>What federal officials say<\/b>: \u201cJurisdictions like Los Angeles that flout federal law by prioritizing illegal aliens over American citizens are undermining law enforcement at every level \u2014 it ends under President Trump,\u201d Attorney General Pamela Bondi said.<\/p>\n<p><b>Here\u2019s what the city\u2019s policy is:<\/b> The city\u2019s policy prohibits federal agents from using city resources \u2014 staff and property \u2014 for immigration enforcement, and does not allow the city to cooperate with such efforts.
