Nearly three million New York homeowners made the list to receive a property tax relief check this year \u2014 part of a $2.2 billion kickback funded by the state\u2019s School Tax Relief program. <\/p>\n
And while some of the property tax relief checks, commonly referred to as STAR, were issued to eligible homeowners and seniors statewide this summer, more deliveries are scheduled to continue throughout the coming months.<\/p>\n
Still expecting your payment? A schedule has been posted on tax.ny.gov\/star<\/a> to help homeowners determine when checks and direct deposits will be issued throughout the state. But users should know that these delivery dates are just an estimate.<\/p>\n \u201cOur Contact Center representatives cannot provide a specific delivery date,\u201d the agency notes on its website. \u201cYou may receive your check or deposit before or after your neighbor or family member.
