Keith Urban<\/a>‘s comment on Nicole Kidman<\/a> might not have aged well.<\/p>\n During a July appearance on On Air with Ryan Seacrest<\/a>, the country star awkwardly answered a question about the Big Little Lies star and how they balance their schedules.<\/p>\n PEOPLE confirmed on Monday, Sept. 29 that Urban, 57, and Kidman, 58, had separated<\/a>, with the actress filing for divorce Tuesday, Sept. 30 after nearly 20 years of marriage<\/a>.<\/p>\n At one point in the interview, Seacrest<\/a>, 50, brought up Kidman’s career and the many projects she had been involved in. “Do people tell you your wife is in everything? Like everything. The four-time Grammy winner appeared uncomfortable and paused before responding. “It’s a job. Yeah,” he said. “Life is in session.”<\/p>\n Kidman had spent part of the summer filming Practical Magic 2<\/a>, while Urban embarked on his High and Alive World Tour<\/a> in late May. She has been fighting to save the marriage.”<\/p>\n Meanwhile, a source in Urban\u2019s circle told PEOPLE on Tuesday that the guitarist\u00a0has “just been going through some stuff” as of late.<\/p>\n “He has been\u00a0making questionable choices<\/a>\u00a0for some time now and this was not the case of them just drifting apart,” added a Kidman insider.<\/p>\n The following day, Kidman filed for divorce from Urban<\/a> in Nashville, where they had lived since 2007, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.<\/p>\n The date of separation was listed as the date of filing. Kidman cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce.<\/p>\n Kidman and Urban met at a gala in 2005 and got married the following year.
