FORT WORTH \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Despite an early deficit, TCU battled back and pulled away late to claim a 35-21 victory over Colorado on Saturday night at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

\nTCU (4-1) was led by Josh Hoover<\/a>, who passed for 275 yards and four touchdowns. Joseph Manjack IV<\/a> led the team receiving the ball, gaining 65 yards and finding the end zone once.\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nJamel Johnson<\/a> and Namdi Obiazor<\/a> led the Frogs in tackling, each earning 10. The pair also tallied an interception, joining Bud Clark<\/a> in that statistical category.

\nColorado (2-4) opened up a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter, but the Frogs were able to generate a response to close the first half on a high note. The first touchdown came with 2:38 remaining in the second quarter as Hoover scored on a quarterback sneak to cut the lead to one score.

\nFollowing an interception by Clark, Hoover would find Eric McAlister<\/a> on a fade route in the end zone to tie the game with just over 90 seconds remaining until halftime.

\nThe Buffaloes were able to generate a drive to close the half, but Obiazor picked CU off on a deflected pass at the goal line to stop any potential score by the visiting team.

\nThe two defenses shut down the offenses in the third quarter, but within the first minute of the fourth Hoover found Lafayette Kaiuway<\/a> in the end zone on fourth down to give the Frogs a seven-point lead.

\nAfter a penalty forced a TCU punt, the Colorado returner muffed the punt and TCU recovered to give the offense an opportunity deep in Buffaloes territory. The offense took advantage, with Hoover finding Manjack for a score to give the Frogs a 28-21 lead.<\/p>\n

Facing a fourth down with under 30 seconds remaining in the game, Hoover found a wide-open McAllister to cement a double-digit victory for TCU.

TCU recorded three interceptions for the first time in a game since SMU on Sept. 25, 2021 \u2026 It was also the first time TCU has had a game with three or more interceptions and two or more sacks November 29, 2019 vs. West Virginia \u2026 It was the first time this century TCU has won a game by 14+ points after trailing by 14+ points \u2026 TCU ended Colorado’s streak of three or fewer turnovers in 35 straight games. It was their longest streak since at least 1996 \u2026 Josh Hoover<\/a> threw for four or more touchdowns for the seventh time of his career, the most of any active QB.
