Four decades into their career, Public Enemy remain as defiant as ever, and in a reference to Kimmel\u2019s recent suspension<\/a>,\u00a0Flavor Flav opened the performance by saying, \u201cI just want you to know that Public Enemy always got your back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chuck D and Flavor Flav sandwiched their classics \u201cDon\u2019t Believe the Hype\u201d and\u00a0 \u201cFight the Power\u201d around \u201cThe Hits Just Keep On Comin,\u201d a recent single from their upcoming album, Black Sky Over the Projects: Apartment 2025.<\/p>\n

The appearance helped kick off Kimmel\u2019s five-night run<\/a> at the Brooklyn Academy of Music\u2019s Howard Gilman Opera House during an episode that also featured Ryan Reynolds and comedian Josh Johnson.<\/p>\n
