{"id":279255,"date":"2025-10-05T10:07:13","date_gmt":"2025-10-05T10:07:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/279255\/"},"modified":"2025-10-05T10:07:13","modified_gmt":"2025-10-05T10:07:13","slug":"north-phoenix-collision-leaves-elderly-woman-dead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/279255\/","title":{"rendered":"North Phoenix collision leaves elderly woman dead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHOENIX \u2014 An 86-year-old woman is dead after a vehicle collision in north Phoenix on Friday, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>The Phoenix Police Department responded to the incident near <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/dBmFZ69nyMk5qJVo7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">18th Street and Greenway Parkway<\/a> around 11:15 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>The woman, identified as Jacqueline Louise Nelson, was taken to a nearby hospital by the Phoenix Fire Department, where she later died from her injuries.<\/p>\n<p>More about north Phoenix collision that took life of 86-year-old woman<\/p>\n<p>Detectives on the case learned Nelson was turning left from eastbound Greenway Parkway onto northbound 18th Street when she failed to yield to an oncoming truck traveling west on Greenway.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the truck stayed on the scene and was hospitalized for injuries not expected to threaten their life.<\/p>\n<p>Impairment was not believed to be a factor, according to authorities.<\/p>\n<p>No other information was available.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"twitter-follow-button\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/iamdamonallred\" data-show-count=\"false\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Follow @iamdamonallred<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We want to hear from you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px;\">Have a story idea or tip?
