{"id":280041,"date":"2025-10-05T18:21:11","date_gmt":"2025-10-05T18:21:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/280041\/"},"modified":"2025-10-05T18:21:11","modified_gmt":"2025-10-05T18:21:11","slug":"yankees-announce-lineup-vs-blue-jays-for-all-important-game-2-of-alds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/280041\/","title":{"rendered":"Yankees announce lineup vs Blue Jays for all-important Game 2 of ALDS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TORONTO &#8211; In his fourth MLB start, Blue Jays&#8217; right-hander Trey Yesavage draws the Yankees in a playoff game.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s Game 2 of the AL Division Series, and the Yankees will try to get even in this best-of-five with veteran lefty Max Fried going against Toronto&#8217;s top prospect &#8211; a 2024 first-round draft pick out of East Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>The 6-foot-4 Yesavage, 22, has pitched just 14 big-league innings, not going more than five innings in any of his three MLB starts &#8211; two against Tampa Bay, one against Kansas City.<\/p>\n<p>Veteran starters Chris Bassitt (back) and Max Scherzer (9.00 ERA last 6 starts) are not on the Jays&#8217; ALDS roster, and Yesavage said he was &#8220;beyond floored&#8221; when manager John Schneider told him he&#8217;d pitch Game 2.<\/p>\n<p>And he&#8217;s not lacking for any confidence entering Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m built for this,&#8221; said Yesavage, adding that he feels &#8220;at the top of my game right now, which is exactly what this organization wanted.
