EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. \u2014 Dak Prescott <\/a>ran toward the visitors\u2019 tunnel at MetLife Stadium after the Cowboys\u2019 win over the Jets<\/a> and heard the chants: \u201cMVP. MVP. MVP.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Cowboys quarterback is off to a fast start. <\/a><\/p>\n

He\u2019s completed 71.3% of his passes with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions and a 101.1 quarterback rating. <\/p>\n

This start is better than 2023, when Prescott finished second in the MVP voting <\/a>to Baltimore\u2019s Lamar Jackson. <\/p>\n

In the first five games of that season, Prescott completed 69.4% of his passes with five touchdowns and four picks. He had an 87.5 rating. Of course, Prescott finished the 2023 season strong. <\/p>\n

And he\u2019s started 2025 in impressive fashion.<\/p>\n

Cowboys fans are noticing.<\/p>\n

Did he hear the MVP chants?<\/p>\n

\u201cMy ears worked,\u201d he said, laughing. \u201cSo I heard it, but I didn\u2019t hear it. It\u2019s Week 5, I don\u2019t care. I don\u2019t care if it\u2019s Week 17. I\u2019ve told y\u2019all what I want to win, the team goals. Right now, the success and the continued success is gonna happen. (I\u2019m) a beneficiary of all the guys in that locker room. To me, I didn\u2019t play as near as a complete game (that) I wanted to. Way too many incompletions, I got to look back and see why. But yeah, sometimes it\u2019s just happy and excited fans.\u201d<\/p>\n
