This decision comes as she continues her recovery from a right ACL tear sustained during the second round of the NCAA tournament.\n<\/p>\n<p>JuJu Watkins Focuses on Recovery<\/p>\n<p>Watkins shared her thoughts on Instagram, stating, \u201cThese last few months have been filled with a lot of healing, rest, and reflection.\u201d She thanked her supporters for their encouragement and affirmed her commitment to prioritize her health.\n<\/p>\n<p>Player Highlights<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Watkins averaged 23.9 points per game.<\/li>\n<li>She recorded 6.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.2 steals.<\/li>\n<li>She is a two-time first-team All-American.<\/li>\n<li>At 20 years old, she is regarded as a top prospect for the WNBA.<\/li>\n<li>Watkins reached 1,000 career points in just 38 games, placing her among the fastest in Division I history.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>USC Coach Lindsay Gottlieb expressed support for Watkins\u2019 decision, emphasizing that her health is the primary concern. \u201cJuJu\u2019s health and well-being are our top priority,\u201d Gottlieb stated, acknowledging the leadership and maturity Watkins has shown throughout her recovery.            <\/p>\n<p>Upcoming Challenges for USC<\/p>\n<p>Watkins\u2019 absence will be felt by the USC Trojans. The team will also need to adjust after losing several key players, including Kiki Iriafen, Rayah Marshall, and Talia von Oelhoffen due to graduation, along with transfers Avery Howell and Kayleigh Heckel.\n<\/p>\n<p>To offset these departures, USC is set to welcome the No. 1 recruit, Jasmine Davidson, who is expected to contribute significantly next season.\n<\/p>\n<p>Watkins remains determined to return to the court stronger than ever. \u201cI\u2019m excited to keep putting the work in to come back even stronger,\u201d she noted, preparing for her eventual comeback.
