PHOENIX \u2014 A construction worker was seriously injured at the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) plant in Phoenix on Monday, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The Phoenix Fire Department said firefighters were treating and transporting the injured worker, whose condition was described as \u201cserious.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rescue took place at the massive semiconductor facility being built near 43rd Avenue and Loop 303<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Initially, authorities were planning on a technical rescue component, but that was canceled since the first arriving crews were able to easily access the patient, authorities said.<\/p>\n

No further details were made available.<\/p>\n
