At 10,064 feet, it\u2019s the county\u2019s highest point. The steep slopes draw stalwart skiers and boarders after winter storms, but the lifts stay open in summer, when you can ride to Top of the Notch (left), a bar and grill perched on the edge of the world. Have a rib eye to go with the view of the Pacific. For the intrepid, a three-mile hike along the Devil\u2019s Backbone takes you to the summit.
