{"id":281403,"date":"2025-10-06T09:26:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-06T09:26:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/281403\/"},"modified":"2025-10-06T09:26:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T09:26:12","slug":"post-pandemic-fitness-revival-could-transform-west-hollywoods-retail-scene","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/281403\/","title":{"rendered":"Post-Pandemic Fitness Revival Could Transform West Hollywood\u2019s Retail Scene"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Luxury Gyms and Boutique Studios Are Taking Over Vacant Storefronts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Empty storefronts across Los Angeles are finding new life as fitness centers, as national gym chains and boutique studios expand into former retail spaces once dominated by fashion and dining.<\/p>\n<p>Recent lease data show that fitness operators are emerging as major players in the region\u2019s commercial real estate market. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.equinox.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><strong>Equinox<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.royalpersonaltraining.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><strong>Royal Personal Training<\/strong><\/a> have signed some of the largest retail leases in Los Angeles this year, according to <strong>CoStar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Royal Personal Training is relocating from a <strong>7,000-square-foot<\/strong> location in Beverly Hills to a new <strong>30,000-square-foot<\/strong> space at <strong>639 North La Peer Drive<\/strong> in West Hollywood, part of a mixed-use complex featuring valet parking and luxury amenities, scheduled for summer 2026. In Beverly Grove, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goldsgym.com\/locations\/ca\/la-beverly-center\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Gold\u2019s Gym<\/strong><\/a> recently debuted a <strong>33,000-square-foot<\/strong> ground-floor facility inside the <strong>Beverly Center<\/strong>, signaling renewed confidence in the city\u2019s fitness sector. By comparison, most Los Angeles gym leases average <strong>5,000 square feet<\/strong>, CoStar reported.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"924\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-4-1024x924.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21896\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The surge follows a turbulent period for the industry. Gyms were among the hardest hit businesses during the pandemic, when closures and health restrictions cut into memberships. Now, demand has not only recovered but surpassed pre-pandemic levels. Membership nationwide reached a <strong>record 77 million<\/strong> last year, up from <strong>72.9 million<\/strong> in 2023, according to the <strong>Health &amp; Fitness Association<\/strong>.
