He was taken to a local hospital and placed in stable condition. <\/p>\n<p>Preliminary information revealed that the man was exchanging custody of his son with his ex-girlfriend when an argument broke out with her current boyfriend, according to police. <\/p>\n<p>Police said the suspect struck the man multiple times in the face with a handgun before shooting him in the leg.
