{"id":282103,"date":"2025-10-06T16:53:10","date_gmt":"2025-10-06T16:53:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/282103\/"},"modified":"2025-10-06T16:53:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T16:53:10","slug":"meg-mclaughlins-sports-photos-hailed-for-their-artistry-san-diego-union-tribune","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/282103\/","title":{"rendered":"Meg McLaughlin\u2019s sports photos hailed for their artistry \u2013 San Diego Union-Tribune"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On three occasions recently, I have marveled at the artistry of Sports section photographs, capturing iconic moments.<\/p>\n<p>The first captured Padres player Ram\u00f3n Laureano climbing the left field wall with the home run ball nowhere in sight \u2014 but you know from the photo exactly where the ball is, with every single fan and Laureano looking at it.<\/p>\n<p>The second captured Padres player Fernando Tatis Jr. leaping for an iconic, home run-stealing backhand catch over the right field wall.<\/p>\n<p>The third was the \u201cCutting It Back\u201d surfing competition photo of Avery McDonald hanging stretched out midair at a critical moment on the wave.<\/p>\n<p>All three captured by the U-T\u2019s Meg McLaughlin.
