From the opening chords of \u201cWorking Man\u201d to the iconic riffs of \u201cTom Sawyer\u201d and the soaring rhythms of \u201cLimelight,\u201d Rush has been a radio staple, a benchmark of prog-rock virtuosity, since the early \u201870s. Today, the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame\u00ae icons are still at it \u2014 bringing their newest tour, \u201cFifty Something,\u201d to fans old and new.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Geddy Lee [bass, keys, vocals] and Alex Lifeson [guitar, vocals] \u2014 Rush co-founders and GRAMMY\u00ae-nominated legends \u2014 have announced their return for a headline tour that marks their first time back on stage together in over a decade, since the R40 Tour finale at the Forum in Los Angeles on Aug. 1, 2015. \u201cFifty Something\u201d is a celebration of Rush\u2019s music, their enduring legacy, and the life of Neil Peart, the drummer and lyricist whose presence defined the band.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been over 10 years since Alex and I have performed the music of Rush alongside our fallen bandmate and friend Neil,\u201d Lee said in a statement. \u201cA lifetime\u2019s worth of songs that we had put our cumulative hearts and souls into writing, recording, and playing together onstage. After all that has gone down since that last show, Alex and I have done some serious soul searching and come to the decision that we miss it \u2014 and that it\u2019s time for a celebration of 50-something years of Rush music. So in 2026, my BFF Lerxst (aka Alex Lifeson) and I are going to hit the road once again to pay tribute to our past and to Neil by performing a vast selection of Rush songs in a handful of cities. No small task, because as we all know, Neil was irreplaceable.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Yet life, as always, has surprises in store. Enter Anika Nilles \u2014 German drummer, composer, and producer, who has performed with Jeff Beck for over 60 shows and released four solo albums. Lee and Lifeson describe Nilles as \u201canother remarkable person\u2026adding another chapter to our story while continuing her own fascinating musical journey.\u201d Fans can expect her to bring a new spark to Rush\u2019s enduring catalog while honoring the impossibly high bar set by Peart.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Carrie Nuttall-Peart and Olivia Peart, Neil\u2019s widow and daughter, weighed in on the tour, saying: \u201cWe are thrilled to support the \u2018Fifty Something\u2019 tour, celebrating a band whose music has resonated and inspired fans for generations, and to honor Neil\u2019s extraordinary legacy as both a drummer and lyricist. As the band enters this new chapter, it promises to be truly unforgettable.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Rush will light up seven cities across Canada, the United States, and Mexico, including Fort Worth\u2019s Dickies Arena on Wednesday, June 24 and Friday, June 26, 2026.
