A 17-year-old boy with a loaded handgun tucked inside his waistband was busted at his Brooklyn high school Monday morning, authorities said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The teen was packing the loaded 9 mm handgun inside East Brooklyn High School on Kings Highway near East 96th Street in Flatbush just before 10 a.m., cops and sources said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Another student spotted the firearm and quickly alerted teachers, who called 911, according to the sources.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The gun was recovered and the boy was taken into custody at the scene, with charges pending.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The school does not have metal detectors in place, but it is staffed by two school safety agents, sources said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The incident comes just weeks after a 16-year-old student was busted<\/a> with a loaded\u00a0semiautomatic handgun at Benjamin Cardozo High School in Queens, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
