A man was found decapitated in the bathroom of a Staten Island home, and his teenage stepson has been taken into custody in connection with the grisly killing, according to police sources.<\/p>\n
The person of interest’s sister walked into the home on Cary Avenue in West Brighton after 4 p.m. Monday, and found trails of blood in rooms throughout the house, police sources said. She then saw the decapitated victim in the bathtub.<\/p>\n
A knife was still in the 45-year-old victim’s neck when police arrived at the scene, sources told NBC New York.<\/p>\n
A 19-year-old was taken into custody and was awaiting charges. He is said to be the victim’s stepson and has a history of mental illness, his mother stated.<\/p>\n
