Taylor Sheridan<\/a>\u2019s Bosque Ranch Productions has secured roughly 450,000 square feet inside Hillwood\u2019s 27,000-acre AllianceTexas master-planned community \u2014 for what else? Visual storytelling, of course. \u00a0<\/p>\n

The buildings at 2601 and 2701 Spirit Drive \u2014 originally built on spec \u2014 are being repurposed as purpose-built production hubs, according to a\u00a0CoStar News article<\/a>. At least one of them already houses a replica kitchen set for\u00a0\u201cLandman,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0Sheridan\u2019s oil-boom drama starring Billy Bob Thornton as oil company fixer Tommy Norris.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve talked about Hollywood for a while,\u201d Ross Perot Jr. told\u00a0CoStar News. \u201cWe have wanted to promote Fort Worth as a film destination, but it was Taylor Sheridan who kicked it off.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Terms of the leases were not disclosed.<\/p>\n

Sheridan has been a driving force in Fort Worth\u2019s and Texas\u2019 film ambitions. In late 2024, he testified before the Texas Legislature in support of strengthening the state\u2019s film incentive program. \u201cNone of those shows could have been produced in Texas without the state’s financial backing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

His efforts, alongside high-profile support from Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson<\/a>, helped push through a $1.5 billion incentive package that goes into effect this fall. The legislation offers long-term rebates and incentives for filmmakers who establish permanent roots in Texas, exactly as Sheridan is doing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fort Worth, for its part, is all in. Both buildings leased by Bosque Ranch Productions have been nominated for designation as qualified media production locations by the Texas Film Commission. If approved, they\u2019d be among the first in the state to benefit from the new incentives. And the city itself would become a serious contender in the increasingly competitive race to lure productions away from California, Georgia, and New Mexico.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Already, Sheridan has made Fort Worth a character in his storytelling.\u00a0\u201c1883,\u201d\u00a0\u201cSpecial Ops: Lioness,\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cLandman\u201d\u00a0have all been filmed in and around the area.
