2024 Cup Series champion Joey Logano<\/a> paid a visit to the NASCAR Hall of Fame after the chaotic race at EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta.<\/p>\n

The Team Penske<\/a> driver surprised the summer campers with his son. According to the Hall of Fame, Logano was “sharing stories, answering questions and racing the cars [the summer campers] made at camp.”<\/p>\n

Despite clinching three Cup Series titles, the 35-year-old driver is yet to receive the honour of being inducted into the Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n

NASCAR Hall of Fame holds educational camps at the hall, giving children the opportunity to discover the race cars, tracks, and music behind the stock car racing series. Other activities include, touring the Hall of Fame museum, a pit crew challenge, and using the race simulators.<\/p>\n

Logano started the Cup Series race at Atlanta from pole position. However, a wreck that involved half the field brought his race to an early end. On lap 69, John Hunter Nemechek<\/a> and Denny Hamlin<\/a> had a collision on the backstretch, leading to utter chaos.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was in the middle of it, so I haven\u2019t seen a replay yet to know what happened,” the reigning champion explained after the wreck. “Cars are sideways, and you get in the brakes, and everyone is just running into each other. Just a speedway wreck, especially with everyone so tight on the restart.<\/p>\n

“Wrong place at the wrong time. We tried to win the stage and unfortunately didn\u2019t get that done, and then you have to pay the piper and go to the back. It\u2019s unfortunate that it happens. The Penske cars were so strong, so fast. It\u2019s part of the game sometimes. Sometimes you\u2019re the ball, sometimes you\u2019re the bat. Today we\u2019re the ball.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hendrick Motorsports<\/a> driver Chase Elliott<\/a> managed to make his way through the chaos unscathed and secured the victory. He was followed by Brad Keselowski<\/a> and Alex Bowman<\/a>, who finished in second and third, respectively.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
