Officials confirmed the crash happened along North Carolina 73, just west of Highway 16 in eastern Lincoln County. Su\u00e1rez said the trio was riding in his wife&#8217;s Chevrolet Blazer SUV, which was destroyed in the collision. It&#8217;s unclear what caused the crash.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This car saved the lives of my wife, mother and mother-in-law,&#8221; Su\u00e1rez said. &#8220;Yesterday was a very scary day. Today, I&#8217;m just so grateful that they are alive.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"548\" data-dnt=\"true\" align=\"center\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">What is left of Julia\u2019s Chevy Blazer. They were featured in Season 2 of Netflix&#8217;s &#8220;Full Speed&#8221; series, which chronicled the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs. Piquet is the daughter of three-time Formula 1 world champion Nelson Piquet.
