Night one is an after-hours service at Ch\u00f2pnBl\u1ecdk\u2019s Montrose location, featuring Afro-soul DJ sets and one-night-only dishes that fuse Trill Burgers\u2019 comfort food with Ch\u00f2pnBl\u1ecdk\u2019s West African flavors\u2014think suya sliders, loaded fries, and more. Night two is at Trill Burgers, with the Ch\u00f2pnBl\u1ecdk crew stepping into the Trill kitchen for West African\u2013inspired takes on the joint\u2019s burgers and tenders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">For Amosu, the reason to take part in this collaboration sits at the heart of Ch\u00f2pnBl\u1ecdk\u2019s mission. \u201cFirst and foremost, it\u2019s a way for us to bridge the gap within the African diaspora, which is important to us and part of our overall mission,\u201d he tells Eater. \u201cGiven Bun and my history as professor and student at Rice University, it\u2019s cool to be able to come back together and put on for the city.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">Bun B frames the linkup as something personal, too. \u201cIt was important to show the full-circle aspect of our relationship as well as how much our respective cultures play into our restaurants,\u201d he says. \u201cIt also speaks to how important collaboration and community are for both of us. Houston\u2019s racial diversity should be spotlighted and celebrated for its cultural impact and influence.
