The Dallas Cowboys<\/a> made an addition to their practice squad as they shift focus toward Week 6.<\/p>\n

Dallas signed defensive back Julius Wood to its practice squad, the team announced Tuesday.<\/a> Wood is no stranger to the Cowboys, as he originally signed with the club as an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina in 2024.<\/p>\n

Wood was with the Cowboys for the team\u2019s 2024 training camp. He was later claimed on waivers by the Tennessee Titans when he didn\u2019t make Dallas\u2019 53-man roster.<\/p>\n

The defensive back appeared in nine games with the Titans last season, posting two total tackles. According to the Nashville Tennessean<\/a>, the NFL suspended Wood for six games back in December 2024 after he violated the league\u2019s performance enhancing substances policy.<\/p>\n

Wood could give the Cowboys some depth at safety with veteran Malik Hooker on injured reserve.<\/a> Before their Week 5 game against the Jets, the Cowboys signed safety Alijah Clark to the active roster from their practice squad.<\/p>\n
