He just compromised it all by putting out a product such as that, that attacks individuals who are just trying to make our streets safe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bryan, 29, shared the short snippet on social media, captioning the post \u201cthe fading of the red white and blue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The song follows the protagonist struggling in life, but not \u201cdead or in jail,\u201d with only a group of degenerate friends.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI heard the cops came<br \/>Cocky motherf\u2013kers, ain\u2019t they?<br \/>And ICE is gonna come bust down your door.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bryan claims kids are scared, houses aren\u2019t being built, but everyone has a telephone, even as bars stopped being the social spot of the town.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe middl\u0435 fingers rising, and it won\u2019t stop showing<br \/>Got some bad news<br \/>Th\u0435 fading of the red, white and blue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zach Bryan performs during Festival d\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 de Qu\u00e9bec in Quebec, Canada, on July 9, 2023. WireImage<\/p>\n<p>Noem spoke out against the song during a <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/10\/06\/us-news\/ice-posts-viral-video-of-cuffed-portland-protester-being-wheeled-away-on-flatbed-cart\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">short media briefing in Portland<\/a> after federal agents arrested several illegal immigrants, including an accused child rapist, earlier in the day, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/bennyjohnson\/status\/1975681667013681298\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to Johnson.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The former South Dakota governor was elated to share that she was never a fan of Bryan \u2014 who served in the US Navy \u2014 before he released the clip of the song.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cZach, I didn\u2019t listen to your music. I\u2019m happy about that today,\u201d Noem said. That makes me very happy that I never gave you a single penny to enrich your lifestyle, if you truly believe what that song stands for.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The former South Dakota governor threw her support behind other country singers, such as Jason Aldean, John Rich, Jon Pardi and Kid Rock.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThose guys know what it means to stand up to freedom,\u201d she said. \u201cGlad I didn\u2019t waste any money on Zach.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Noem called out Bryan\u2019s apparent hypocrisy for releasing the anti-law enforcement song while having police protect him at his concerts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s what\u2019s so special about law enforcement, is that they don\u2019t pick and choose who they defend when they do their jobs. Tamara Beckwith<\/p>\n<p>The DHS shot back at Bryan, using his hit song \u201cRevival\u201d as the backing track to a video of federal agents detaining people during different raids around the country, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DHSgov\/status\/1975629857775341895\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to a post to X.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Grammy winner fired back at the outrage over his song and claimed that the tune is about \u201chow much I love this country and everyone in it more than anything.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you hear the rest of the song, you will understand the full context that hits on both sides of the aisle,\u201d Bryan said on Instagram late Tuesday. \u201cEveryone using this now as a weapon is only proving how devastatingly divided we all are. We need to find our way back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI served this country. I love this country and the song itself is about all of us coming out of this divided space. I wasn\u2019t speaking as a politician or some greater-than-thou a\u2013hole, just a 29-year-old man who is just as confused as everyone else. To see how much sh-t it stirred up makes me not only embarrassed but kind of scared. Redferns<\/p>\n<p>Bryan made clear that he\u2019s \u201con neither of these radical sides.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo all those disappointed in me on either side of whatever you believe in, just know i\u2019m trying to do my best too and we all say things that are misconstrued sometimes,\u201d Bryan said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe last few months of my life I\u2019ve been scrutinized by more people than I ever thought possible. I feel like I\u2019ve tried my hardest in so many ways and it\u2019s so hard to see where my bearings even are anymore.
